Job Description

Are you a Junior Developer looking for a new challenge? Would you like to join a fast growing, Sunday Times Top Track 100 company?

Due to our client’s recent expansion, Wise Employment are looking to speak to engaging and passionate Junior Developers who are available immediately. This role will begin as a temporary position but has the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

You will be working as part of the IT Development team to create and support a number of solutions which will deliver the best possible return on investment and benefit to the wider business. This will involve supporting current in-house systems and platforms, ensuring they are fit for purpose, as well as assisting in the preparation and implementation of user and system test plans.

Day to day responsibilities will include;


  • Supporting existing and future in-house developments, ensuring disruption to availability and quality of service is reduced
  • Recording and detailing user requirements accurately
  • Assessing effort and timescales for support fixes and project deliverables
  • Responding to and delivering end user requests and concerns
  • Working as part of a team in order to deliver complex development projects
  • Passionate about playing your part in development and support resulting in outputs fit for the end user, customers and the brand as a whole

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the business at an exciting time for the business. We are looking for candidates with strong attention to detail and working knowledge of web based processes, as well as a passion for delivering an exceptional customer focused approach to their workload. You will be adaptive to the individual needs of the business and be able to pick up any new technology quickly and logically. A strong communicator, you will be able to present to all levels of the business and have experience in documenting relevant developments.

Due to the nature of the role we would like to speak to candidates with the following technical skill-set:


  • ASP.NET framework with C#
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • T-SQL (intermediate level)
  • SQL database administrative skills
  • PL/SQL
  • MySQL

Any skills in the following areas would also be extremely beneficial:


  • Development of Windows based tablets / mobiles (WPF)
  • BizTalk 2010
  • Microsoft reporting services 2010 or higher
  • FTP / SFTP / API
  • EDI Standards
  • Principles of RDBMS and normalisation
  • jQuery
  • Angular JS
