The Quality Engineer will also be involved in managing the internal audit system.

You will be involved with a varied workload, investigating product issues, maintaining and implementing an internal auditing process, liaising with production about resolving quality issues, as well as performing various testing and maintenance tasks.

Great communication skills are key to this position - the role will involve lots of customer contact, internal contact with different departments, as well as interaction with auditors, and the board of directors.

To be considered for this position you should have the following experience as a minimum:

• Previous quality experience from within a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive or aerospace.
• Internal auditing experience to ISO9001 as a minimum
• Experience of ISO9001 standard as a minimum – AS9100 or TS16949 desirable
• Knowledge of PPAPs and how they work
• APQP & FMEA experience

The position may involve some occasional UK and European travel, and will certainly involve a 1 week trip to their European site in the first 3 months of employment so that you can see first-hand how their processes work there.

The company is growing fast, has a full order book, and has recently invested in new equipment that you will no doubt get to work with if you are successful in gaining employment.
